Hala Kershah, BDS, MHA
Hala Kershah is an international healthcare leader with over 14 years of expertise in strategy and operations across complex care delivery systems in the Middle East and the United States. She currently serves as Director of Operations for the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, leading inpatient services including critical care, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, pulmonary medicine, hospital medicine, and infectious diseases. Previously, she managed the Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where she helped expand access to advanced cardiovascular services and supported the strengthening of programs, including heart and lung transplantation. She is recognized for her work in improving workplace culture, developing physician leaders, and building programs that strengthen leadership capacity across healthcare.
Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Hala served as Regional Senior Program Manager at Kaiser Permanente Northwest, the largest private integrated healthcare system in the U.S., where she oversaw the Medical and Dental Integration Program, an innovative initiative that transformed care delivery and set new standards for integrated, affordable, and high-quality care. Earlier, she advanced her training as an Administrative Fellow at Kaiser Permanente, a leadership development program for high-potential healthcare administrators. Hala has presented at leading international conferences, including the American College of Healthcare Executives Congress, where she spoke on mindful leadership, and the Middle East Heart Failure Conference, where she has moderated sessions on physician leadership, emotional intelligence, and change management. Her work has also been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA).

In addition to her institutional leadership, Hala is the founder of NovaMind, a professional development platform that delivers culturally tailored content to support leadership development and workforce growth in the Middle East. She holds a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Alexandria University, Faculty of Dentistry.
